Flip Videos- really excited about the potential that these small cam corders with built in usb attachment and built in editing software can do for teaching and learning. One way to use the flip video is to create a training video of a new lesson and procedure you wish a student to learn. The video can be viewed by the child, the child's aide, parents and reg. ed teachers, who now know exactly what the child is learning. Taking it a step more, you can video tape the student doing the procedure as base line progress monitoring, then video tape at intervals to show progress. I think this would be great to use with students who are working on reading fluency using repeated readings or learning math facts. The student will see his/her progress over time, as well as uploading the videos to the parents and the students reg. ed teacher for all to see the progress the student is making towards reading fluency or what ever they are working on. The editing software along with flip share allows you to edit the video, and upload it via email, or to flip share for private viewing or if you have developed a lesson, technique or strategy that a teacher would like to share with other teachers can put it out on the web. I think I will purchase a flip video for my personal use. Very exciting.

I like it for baseline data. Will use it more in the new year.
